Nimalee Bastian-Carter and Peter Taylor from Wills, Trusts and Probate Department gain SFE Accreditation

Congratulations to Nimalee Bastian-Carter and Peter Taylor, solicitors in our Bromley office on becoming fully accredited members of Solicitors for the Elderly (“SFE”).

SFE is a national association of lawyers who are highly qualified and regulated who specialise in assisting older and vulnerable clients with a variety of legal matters.

To gain admission to the SFE, Nimalee and Peter completed two accredited qualifications – the SFE Older Client Care in Practice Award (OCCP) and the SFE Older Client Law in Practice Award (OCLP), as well as  signing up to the Code of Practice

SFE members are extensively trained in older client care, with a focus on understanding mental and physical difficulties which can affect older and vulnerable clients such as; dementia, mobility, capacity, hearing and sight issues.

All accredited members have the most up to date and relevant knowledge and SFE regularly provides its members with training, legal updates and access to advice forums. For more information about SFE, or the benefits of using an SFE accredited solicitor, please click here

David Chandra, Partner and Head of Private Client commented “Achieving SFA accreditation demonstrates Judge & Priestley’s commitment to the care of our older and vulnerable clients.  Our solicitors place great importance in understanding the needs and considerations of our elderly clients, a quality which Nimalee and Peter demonstrate. Clients can be reassured by Nimalee and Peter being fully accredited members of the SFE and their adherence to the SFE Code of Practice.”
