Nimalee Bastian-Carter

Nimalee is a Partner in the Private Client Department, with a wealth of experience in wills, probate and elderly client services work. On 1^st October 2025, she celebrated 22 years since qualifying as a Solicitor.

Experience

Nimalee has extensive experience in Probate, Court of Protection, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney work and is a fully accredited member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Association of Lifetime Lawyers (ALL).

Having graduated from Kings College, London, Nimalee started her legal career in a Legal 500 firm based in Kent. Nimalee secured a training contract and went on to qualify as a solicitor in the Private Client Department, in October 2003.

Nimalee subsequently joined a regional firm and was based in Bromley, before joining a top 100 Legal firm in London. During this time, Nimalee worked in the highly regarded Court of Protection Department, where she headed the Statutory Will Service division for the firm.

Due to family commitments, Nimalee decided to move back to Bromley and joined Judge & Priestley in 2018, where she became a Partner in July 2023. Nimalee is a key member of our expanding and successful Private Client Department. 

Memberships

Nimalee has been a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 2008.

Nimalee has been a fully qualified member of The Association of Lifetime Lawyers since 2019.

Outside of work

Nimalee is committed to her family and enjoys spending time with her loved ones.

Nimalee also enjoys travelling and afternoon tea.
