Mateusz joined Judge & Priestley in September 2021 and works as a Trainee Solicitor in the Private Client Department.

Since joining the firm in 2021, Matt has been dedicated to providing a range of services essential to safeguarding the interests and well-being of clients while actively participating in various aspects of the firm's operations.

Experience

Before joining J&P, Matt graduated from the University of Greenwich and achieved a Distinction in his LPC and Masters in Business & Management. He gained valuable experience in Pro-bono cases at university, advising clients on a diverse range of legal matters, including personal independence payment, debt, breach of contract, business, and employment disputes. His expertise also extends to property matters, such as HMO licenses, re-mortgages, transfer of equity, tenancy contracts, and lending agreements.

Matt's current areas of expertise include the administration of estates, drafting Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney, Deputyship Orders, and assistance in Deprivation of Liberty cases. He works closely with our partners, supporting them in their roles as Attorneys and Deputies.

His primary focus is ensuring that the firm's clients are not only well-represented but also fully understood. Matt believes in taking the time to engage with clients, comprehend their unique needs, and ensure they are heard and updated at every step of their legal journey.

Employment Highlights

In addition to his core legal responsibilities, Matt plays an integral role in cross-functional collaborations by actively participating in various aspects of the firm's operations. Notably, his involvement in HR initiatives and committees has successfully led to the implementation of innovative HR programs, fostering a supportive and harmonious workplace and creating an employee-friendly environment.

Furthermore, Matt is deeply engaged in providing valuable insights and solutions for the firm's case management systems and IT infrastructure. He collaborates closely with developers and partners to enhance and streamline internal processes, ensuring the firm effectively leverages technology to better serve our clients.

Outside of work

Matt leads a diverse life, actively participating in property management and exploring the world of trading stocks and cryptocurrencies. He also nurtures a long-standing fascination with the realms of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data science. In his spare time, he enjoys experimenting with small machine learning models and conceptualising innovative software applications.

To maintain balance, relax and unwind, Matt regularly engages in gym workouts and meditations.
