Christopher joined Judge & Priestley in 2015 in order to work as a paralegal whilst he completed his legal studies. He became a Trainee Solicitor in August 2018 once he graduated from the University of Law, where he earned a distinction in both his Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice and his MSc in Law, Business and Management. Prior to this, Christopher attained a first-class degree in Music from the University of Nottingham and went on to complete the GDL conversion course.
Christopher focuses primarily within the following areas:
- Administration of estates, including obtaining probate
- Preparation of Wills
- Creation, administration and termination of trusts
- Taxation of trusts and estates
Whilst at Judge & Priestley, Christopher has assisted his supervisors with the administration of multi-million-pound estates, which have spanned numerous jurisdictions. Christopher’s knowledge of Wills and trusts is extensive. His time at Judge & Priestley has included preparing complex trust structures for charitable purposes, discretionary trusts for disabled beneficiaries and various asset-protection trusts.
The work which Christopher has undertaken has provided him with a detailed understanding of the taxation of trusts and estates. Such experience has made Christopher well-equipped to identify and advise on the particular options which are most suited to his client’s individual circumstances.
Outside of work
