Further success for Judge & Priestley in the Legal 500 2018 UK Directory

Judge & Priestley LLP, the Bromley based solicitors practice, is proud to announce further success in the 2018 edition of the prestigious Legal 500 directory of leading UK law firms.

The most notable development for the practice in the recently announced 2018 results is the addition of partner Nitika Singh to the exclusive "Leading lawyers" list, for outstanding lawyers nationwide.

Nitika, who is Head of the Housing Management team at Judge & Priestley, joins fellow partner Mark Oakley in being recognised as ‘leading individuals’ in the South East region.

Both our Housing Management team and our debt recovery division, J&P Credit Solutions, have successfully retained their Tier 2 positions, as leading teams for the South East region in the following categories: Social Housing and Debt Recovery.

Our Property Litigation and Housing Management teams advise on contentious property matters. The Housing Management team has been successfully acting, predominantly for public and private sector landlords, for over 20 years. After interviewing clients, this is what the Legal 500 judges wrote about the team:

Judge & Priestley LLP attracts praise for its 'outstanding overall level of service; all of its solicitors have many years of experience and excellent breadth of knowledge between them'. Areas of expertise encompass housing management litigation, including matters relating to possession, neighbour disputes, disrepair and anti-social behaviour; leasehold management, where it acts for a number of local authorities on leasehold and service charge issues; and housing development, where it acts for a number of registered social landlords and charities. Key figures include Nitika Singh, who heads the practice and has wide-ranging experience in property litigation; Pamela Bachu, who is noted for her 'can-do attitude and responsiveness'; and Mark Oakley, who is singled out for his 'understanding of the practical applications of the work clients undertake'.”

The debt recovery division, J&P Credit Solutions has grown significantly in recent years. The department has an excellent reputation in the industry in key specialist areas including local authority debt recovery, subrogated insurance losses arising from road traffic claims and utilities sector recoveries.

Presenting their findings on J&P Credit Solutions, The Legal 500 stated that:

“Judge & Priestley LLP's team is, according to clients, particularly good at 'identifying legal issues and ensuring clients are fully informed' and has 'developed excellent online case management systems'. Rachel Addai and Mark Oakley , who jointly head the practice, lead 'a very skilled and helpful' team; Oakley stands out for 'his excellent skills and knowledge when it comes to complex leasehold cases' and for the training sessions he provides.  Mark Younger and  Uday Patel  are noted, as is Robert Davis, 'who delivers what the client wants'.”
