Judge & Priestley appointed to Housing Associations' Legal Alliance (HALA) new Solicitors Panel worth £30m

Judge & Priestley is proud to be one of the law firms selected by the Housing Associations’ Legal Alliance (HALA) for its new legal services panel, following a rigorous procurement process managed by specialist legal consultants Kennedy Carter.

The solicitors’ framework is a three-year agreement to supply specialist legal advice and support and runs from 1st September 2022 until 31 August 2025, with the option to extend for a further 12 months.

The framework was split into 4 specialist areas and Judge & Priestley has been appointed to assist in Housing and Asset Management.

Founded in 2010 by Kennedy Cater and 4 original members, HALA membership now stands at 35 housing associations across England, who together manage over 280,000 units of housing stock.

Mark Oakley, litigation partner, at Judge & Priestley commented:

“We are very pleased with the outcome of the tender and our appointment to the framework. The result highlights our growing reputation for quality, value, and the flexibility of legal solutions we provide to our expanding list of public sector clients.

We look forward to working with HALA’s members to assist them in the delivery of high quality and excellent value legal services.”

Tim Morel, Director of Kennedy Cater said: “Over the last 12 years HALA has proved that it is a highly valuable tool in helping housing associations access high quality legal advice at competitive rates and continues to illustrate the advantages of successful collaboration. We thank the firms for their commitment to our process and look forward to working closely with them in the coming years.”
