Farasat Ahmed

Solicitor

Farasat joined Judge & Priestley in 2023 as a Commercial Solicitor and works within Business and Commercial Property Department. Farasat works closely with our Partner and Head of the Commercial team, Neil Cuffe.

Experience

Farasat is a qualified Commercial Solicitor, Entrepreneur, and a CMC accredited civil, commercial, and workplace Mediator with extensive experience in legal services and other industries. Farasat is experienced in working on fast-paced, cutting-edge projects with an international element involved in cross-border matters.

Farasat is an excellent communicator and negotiator with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. He possesses leadership skills, transferable analytical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a capacity for sustained application. Farasat demonstrates reliable legal judgment and an appreciation of legal risks, with the ability to analyse and advise on complex and novel legal issues.

Farasat can practise in multiple areas of law and has years of experience working in different types of law firms. He completed his legal training in commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, private client matters, real estate, commercial litigation, and dispute resolution. Later, Farasat decided to pursue his career further in commercial law, as he found his true passion in becoming a Commercial Solicitor. As a result, he specialised in all aspects of Commercial Law and now advises J&P clients on company and commercial matters. 

In particular, Farasat can assist with the following:

  • Business formation and structure
  • Reorganisation of the company
  • Sale and purchase of businesses – both asset sales/purchases and share sales/purchases
  • Shareholder agreements and providing guidance on interpretation and enforcement
  • Commercial agreements, including terms and conditions of business
  • Business contracts and agreements
  • General commercial legal advice

As a Commercial Solicitor, Farasat is not only dedicated to providing top-tier legal counsel but also to continuously expanding his skill set. He is currently completing his Notarial Practice Course at UCL, with aspirations to qualify as a Notary Public in England and Wales

Outside of Work

In his spare time, Farasat enjoys playing tennis and cricket. He loves to try different types of food and travel around the world. He also has an interest in history, art from diverse cultures, and technology and scientific discoveries. Moreover, Farasat is deeply committed to community and philanthropic endeavours.
