Trainee Solicitor

Vaida Joined Judge & Priestley in October 2016 and works as Trainee Solicitor in the Property Litigation team.

Experience:

Vaida works in Property Litigation team, covering residential and commercial property. Vaida deals with a range of matters to include, but not limited to statutory and non-statutory lease extensions, possession proceedings, applications to the Tribunal regarding reasonableness of the service charge, disputes arising out of the breach of contract, debt recovery and boundary litigation. Vaida also assists our Housing Department and has own case portfolio dealing with the disrepair matters.

Vaida studied Criminal Justice Policy in the London School of Economics and Political Science where she was awarded Distinction for her Master thesis. Vaida worked in the International Criminal Court, in the Hague. Following this, Vaida went on to study Legal Practice Course at the BBP Law School where she was awarded a Distinction.

Vaida is a qualified lawyer in Lithuania and used to work in Litigation and Procurement Department in Lithuanian Armed Forces. She was also responsible for Humanitarian Law and Law of Armed Conflict.

Outside of Work:

Vaida enjoys travelling and is a member of the International Community for Humanitarian Assistance and Protection. Vaida holds a published article on the Child soldiers and International Criminal Law issues.
