Ryan Taylor

Ryan has extensive experience of contentious probate issues and has recently joined the Private Client team at Judge & Priestley, to further enhance the team's expertise in this area.

Ryan has considerable and varied experience in the field of contentious probate matters, where he can advise clients in relation to beneficiary disputes, claims on estates and disputes on Wills.

Ryan began his legal career in Australia, where he was a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and enrolled Solicitor of the High Court of Australia. Ryan's early work focused on estate and succession planning for clients, and administration of estates. This was provided in conjunction with business succession planning and testamentary trust advice for families and high net-worth individuals.

Ryan’s interest in litigation also led him to take on disputed estate work, where he acted for both claimants and in defence of estates in proceedings.

After making the move to the UK, Ryan started working at Judge & Priestley where he dealt with civil litigation cases for a range of clients. Ryan's background in estate work also allowed him to develop procedures to enable clients to administer estates of individuals where assets remain unclaimed; particularly assisting local authorities to deal with estates for adults social care recipients that had passed away in care.

Whilst working full time, Ryan also completed the Qualified Lawyer Transfer Scheme to become qualified in England & Wales, in addition to Australia.
