Nasima joined Judge & Priestley in April 2019 and is a part of the Private Client team.
After completing LLB(Hons) and the legal practice course, she continued to qualify as a lawyer in 2004.
Nasima trained and qualified in a respected legal 500 firm in Kent. She has over 14 years experience in dispute resolution.
Nasima has extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of contested wills, probate and trusts and inheritance disputes. She has been involved in a number of cases challenging the validity of wills, in claims by beneficiaries for reasonable financial provision pursuant to the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and trusts claims where the beneficial entitlement in a property is different to the legal title. She also deals with Court of Protection disputes such as challenges to Lasting Powers of Attorney and disputed Deputyship applications.
Nasima acts for executors, trustees and beneficiaries as well as individuals and charities involved in disputes. She offers professional tailored advice and will work with you in a sensitive manner to resolve matters, where possible, through alternative dispute resolution methods such as negotiation and mediation in order to mitigate costs and emotional stress. If legal proceedings cannot be avoided, Nasima provides pragmatic advice with a clear indication of costs.
In addition to her dispute resolution work, Nasima also deals with the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate and Trust Administration.
Nasima is passionate about social responsibility and is a Director and Trustee of Bromley and Croydon Women’s Aid and a fundraiser for Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
Outside of Work
Nasima is a keen scuba diver and loves tropical waters for diving. Some of her most memorable dive destinations have been Egypt, Thailand and Barbados. She has recently started kickboxing and working her way through her belt gradings. She also enjoys relaxing at home by cooking and baking and entertaining friends
