Eleanor McCabe
Eleanor joined Judge & Priestley in April 2025 as a Senior Associate in the Private Client team.
Experience
Eleanor qualified as a solicitor in 2015, having previously completed her law conversion and Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School following a History degree from the University of Bristol. She began her legal career after working for the National Trust and has since held senior roles at a number of respected regional law firms across the South East, most recently as a Partner.
She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and holds the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates, demonstrating specialist knowledge in this area.
Eleanor specialises in all aspects of Estate Administration, including obtaining Grants of Probate or Letters of Administration, advising on Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax, and guiding clients through complex matters such as variations to Wills and tax-efficient asset transfers. Her approach is known for being both down to earth and highly professional.
In particular, Eleanor can assist with the following:
- Applying for Probate or Letters of Administration
- Advising on Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax liabilities
- Administering complex Estates and advising on Deeds of Variation
- Guiding clients through the transfer of assets in a tax-efficient manner
