Daniel joined Judge & Priestley in November 2025 as a Partner in the Housing department.

Experience

Daniel has worked primarily in housing and public law since qualification (2001), specialising in Human Rights and Equality Act challenges. He was one of the lead housing solicitors on the Grenfell Public Inquiry, representing 50 Core Participants.

His areas of practice include:

  • Homelessness appeals and Judicial Review cases
  • Equality Act Discrimination
  • Disrepair claims
  • Possession proceedings
  • Leasehold actions
  • Group actions involving complex housing litigation
  • General property litigation such as boundary and party wall disputes

Daniel also advises local authorities in connection with investigations by the Regulator for Social Housing. He has extensive advocacy experience and has served as a court duty solicitor in several County Courts.

Recognised in both The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, Daniel has been described as “absolutely brilliant,” “good at getting things done for the client and very good at steering his way through problems,” and a “key and steadying lynchpin.”

Memberships

Member of Liberty, the Fabian Society, the Labour Party, and the Labour Lawyers Group.

External Positions

Daniel is the former elected Law Society Council Member for Housing, a former member of the Law Society Housing Committee, and the former Vice-Chair of the Grenfell Forum Group. He also served as an elected Labour Councillor for Lambeth from 2006 to 2010.
