Yanoulla Joined Judge & Priestley in July 2022 and works as a Partner in the Family Department.

She is a dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable family lawyer with over with over 15 years of experience in family law and has been recognised as a Key Lawyer by the Legal 500 since 2024.

Experience

Yanoulla originally trained as a barrister at the Inns of Court School of Law. She qualified as a solicitor whilst working and training at a London top-rated legal 500 law firm. Prior to joining Judge & Priestley, she worked in a highly regarded national family law firm.

Yanoulla is able to take a constructive approach in order to achieve the best outcome as swiftly as possible. She has the experience, skill, and resolve to advocate for her clients if necessary. She is approachable and sympathetic but always professional.

Yanoulla advises on all areas of family law with particular expertise in divorce and the settlement of finance on separation, and in private children matters.

She has represented parents and other family members in children matters at all stages, from initial advice through to the High Court and the Court of Appeal. She has represented parents on international relocation cases and those seeking to prevent the removal of their children as well as complex children law cases involving allegations of abuse and alienation. She also regularly represents parents and other family members in disputes about where a child lives, how much time they spend with each parent or other family members as well as decisions regarding a child’s religion, health, and schooling.

Yanoulla has extensive experience in cases involving domestic abuse. Outside of her role as a solicitor, she has volunteered at domestic abuse charities for several years advising and giving training.

Achievements

Yanoulla is passionate about achieving equality, inclusivity and diversity in the legal sector and judiciary. She is an active member of several committees including Resolution’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the DE and I Committee for the Honourable Society of Grays Inn. She has also accomplished the following accolades:

  • Shortlisted for the Family Law Champion at the Lexis Nexis Family Law Awards 2025
  • Finalist at the Women and Diversity in Law Awards 2025

She is also a member of the Working Group for Pets on Divorce and Separation which seeks to change the law with regards to how pets are treated during a divorce or separation.

Outside of Work

Yanoulla enjoys playing hockey competitively in the South East leagues and trying to keep up with her two children.

In July 2025 Yanoulla completed the National 3 peaks challenge in 24 hours with 7 of her fellow Judge & Priestley colleagues raising money for the Charities Demelza and Mind.
