Judge & Priestley LLP has been named winner of the Wellbeing Award at the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2026, held on 16 April at the Park Plaza London Riverbank. The ceremony was hosted by English comedian Ellie Taylor, known for her appearances on Strictly Come Dancing and Ted Lasso.

The award recognises Judge & Priestley’s sustained commitment to building a supportive and high-performing working environment, underpinned by its ‘People First’ wellbeing strategy. The firm was also shortlisted in the Diversity and Inclusion category, reflecting continued progress in fostering an inclusive and supportive culture across the business.

Judges commended the firm for embedding wellbeing at the heart of its people strategy, highlighting measurable, data-driven improvements that have enhanced employee experience and established a benchmark for holistic wellbeing within the legal sector.

Headquartered in Bromley, with offices in Central London, Blackheath, Beckenham and Sidcup, Judge & Priestley has invested significantly in initiatives designed to support its people across physical, mental, financial and social wellbeing. These include enhanced annual leave entitlements, additional time off linked to tenure, wellbeing-focused benefits, mental health awareness and training, and a network of Mental Health First Aiders.

Commenting on the award, Managing Partner Steven Taylor said:
“This recognition reflects the collective effort across the firm to prioritise wellbeing in a meaningful and lasting way. Over the past 18 months, we have taken deliberate steps to ensure our people feel supported and valued, and that focus is now embedded in how we operate as a business. It is particularly rewarding to see those efforts recognised at a national level, especially among such strong competition.”

Clare Alger, People & Culture Director, added:
“Our approach to wellbeing has always been about more than individual initiatives; it is about creating an environment where people can genuinely thrive. From our Mental Health First Aiders to our People & Culture and Social Committees, this has been a firmwide effort. Winning this award is a reflection of the culture we are continuing to build and the importance we place on supporting our people at every stage of their careers.”

The LexisNexis Legal Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and best practice across the UK legal sector. Judge & Priestley’s dual recognition as both a winner and shortlisted firm highlights the strength of its people-focused strategy and its ongoing commitment to delivering a positive and inclusive workplace.

Judge & Priestley remains committed to further developing its wellbeing and DEI initiatives as part of its long-term strategy, ensuring it continues to support its people while delivering high-quality legal services to clients.
