Abigail Giraffe Auctioned to Raise Money for St Christopher's Hospice

Abigail the Giraffe sponsored by Bromley firm of solicitors Judge & Priestley and Sydenham Hospice St Christopher’s is now up for auction on Ebay.

The giraffe took part in the recent Bromley Giraffe Trail on 22 October 2016 and it is hoped that Abigail will raise even more money for St Christopher’s Hospice.

Abigail was decorated by patients of the hospice and to add to its value was autographed by Matt Terry, X Factor winner and Nicole Scherzinger at the X Factor Bromley home tour during the recent X factor finals.

On the design of the giraffe, Marcelo Camus, who works in the Arts Team at St Christopher’s, said:

“We wanted to drape the giraffe in a beautiful modernist masterpiece to celebrate the year our hospice, and the modern hospice movement was founded.”

“Patients working on the giraffe have been thinking about the era of late 60s and sharing stories and anecdotes while painting. Patients, our evening art social club, our Young Adults Group and families and friends have played their part in making Abigail look amazing.”

Nita Newsome, Marketing Manager at the Judge & Priestley solicitors said:

“We want to continue increasing the amount of money raised for St Christopher’s and now that Abigail is on Ebay the giraffe can be bought and displayed at a local business or even would make a nice addition to a family home.”
