Judge & Priestley advised Apogee Corporation Ltd on four acquisitions in 2016

Apogee Corporation, the market-leading independent Managed Services provider of print, document and process technology across the UK and Europe, successfully completed the acquisition of CityDocs on 21st December 2016, with the Christmas break fast approaching. Apogee was advised through the transaction by Judge and Priestley’s Commercial Law team, headed by partner Neil Cuffe.

Indeed, since Apogee secured a significant investment from private equity firm Equistone Partners Europe in September 2016, they have made several strategic acquisitions throughout the U.K. and Europe. Neil has advised Apogee on a total of four acquisitions in 2016, including that of Direct Business Systems based in Scotland and Hibernian Business Solutions in the Republic of Ireland.

Apogee Corporation’s headquarters are in Maidstone, Kent. The company employs in excess of 450 staff and operates from 14 office locations across the UK and Europe. Equistone Partners Europe invested in Apogee in September 2016, in a transaction valuing the company at £185 million.

CityDocs delivers digital document scanning, processing, hosting and full reprographic services, notably through its specialist legal document services operation, which is the market-leading provider of forensic technology and eDisclosure to London-based solicitors firms, chambers and in-house counsel.
