Judge & Priestley is a strong believer in positively engaging in the communities in which we work and live. We support a number of local charities including:

Bromley Community Fund (BCF)
We are proud to be a Founding Member of The Bromley Community Fund (BCF) - an exciting new charitable venture set up to support the Borough now and long into the future – responding over time to the changing needs and hardships faced by the local community.

Whilst Bromley is one of the least deprived London Boroughs overall, there are many groups of people in need.  Local charities and community organisations are at the forefront of tackling these issues and it is the goal of the Bromley Community Fund to provide a sustainable source of funding for these worthwhile organisations and projects.

The Treasury wants to help people and companies give to their local area.  For this reason, the Government is providing over £250,000 of matched funding for the Bromley Community Fund.  This means that the Government will match donations from businesses and individuals on a pound-for-pound basis.  Donations to the Bromley Community Fund are invested as an endowed fund with the interest used to make charitable grants year on year.

Local charities provide valuable services through their work to enhance and develop the lives of local residents and therefore we are proud to be involved in a project that provides much needed support for the Borough’s organisations and people.

Bromley Mencap
Bromley Mencap is a registered charity working with and on behalf of people with a learning disability in the London Borough of Bromley.  We are proud to be Sponsors of the Bromley Mencap Awards Dinner.

The Society was formed in 1951 by a group of parents with children who had learning disabilities.  It now has over 600 members and serves around 1,200 people with learning disabilities in the Borough.

Bromley Mencap’s continuous action on behalf of people in the Borough with a learning disability, and on behalf of their parents and carers, is based on the principle that their clients have a need and a right to live like others in the community, and to have a reasonable quality of life.

Bromley Y
Bromley Y is a local agency offering free, confidential counselling to young people between the ages of 11-23 within the Borough of Bromley.  The charity aims to provide a safe, friendly environment in which to help a young person explore the difficulties that he/she may be experiencing, helping them to identify new ways forward.

Ataxia UK
In addition to these local organisations, Judge & Priestley has chosen to support the national charity Ataxia UK.  We are delighted that the South East has been chosen to host the 2012 Olympics and are supporting Ataxia sufferer Darren Winfield-Stanesby in his attempts to qualify for the 2012 Paralympics.
