Lasting Powers of Attorney - who should make them and why?

Most people make provisions for what happens to their assets after they die but do not make preparations for keeping both themselves and their assets safe when they are alive.  For many people however, it is only as they become older or more infirm that they seriously consider what they would wish to happen to them should they fall victim to a serious accident or illness.

This seminar looks at the options available for appointing someone to make decisions and carry out your wishes about your financial and healthcare issues at a time in the future when you may lack the mental capacity to make those decisions yourself.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • How to register a LPA
  • How LPAs work
  • Who can be appointed as an attorney?
  • What are the alternatives to LPAs?

This seminar takes place on Thursday 20 May from 6pm to 7.30pm.  All local residents and employees are invited to attend.   The seminars will take place at the Judge & Priestley offices in West Street, Bromley (opposite Sainsbury's).  Refreshments will be provided
